The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling candidates to effectively discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma.

Syllabus:

IGC 1: Management of International Health & Safety

GC 2: Controlling Workplace Hazards

GC 3: Health and Safety Practical Application

Assessment

Units IGC1 and GC2 of the NEBOSH International Certificate are each assessed by one two-hour written examination. Unit GC3 is assessed by a two-hour practical assessment carried out in your workplace.
